Title:
COATING-TYPE MAGNETIC RECORDING BODY AND MAGNETIC ENCODER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04113222
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enlarge spacing fro generating a magnetic sensor maximum output signal by constituting a magnetic recording medium with a magnetic film which is formed by a magnetic paint using Ba ferrite magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:In a coating-type magnetic recording body, a film-shaped magnetic recording body is formed by a magnetic paint using Ba ferrite magnetic powder on a non-magnetic substrate. It is desirable to use a filling quantity of Ba ferrite magnetic powder of 35-65vol.% as the magnetic paint and to use a binder resin for the remaining part. Increasing content of Ba ferrite magnetic powder within the medium achieves a recording medium with magnetism- reducing characteristics and enables a magnetization pitch lambda and a film thickness d to be selected, thus constantly obtaining a larger magnetomotive force than that of a recording medium using Co-gamma-Fe2O3 regardless of any slant angle of operating line.
