Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an aluminized steel sheet with improved corrosion resistance and strength at high temp. by aluminizing a cold rolled steel sheet having a regulated ratio of Ti/(C+N) and contg. properly blended Mn, Si, Cr, Cu, etc.

CONSTITUTION: A cold rolled steel sheet consisting of 0.001W0.02% C, 0.05W1.0% Mn, 0.05W2.1% Si, 0.1W5% Cr, 0.1W0.5% Cu, 0.01W0.1% Al, ≤0.010% N, 0.1W 0.6% Ti [Ti/(C+N)≥10] and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities or further contg. 0.1W2.0% Ni is used as a base material. This base material is aluminized by hot dipping or other method. since the aluminized steel sheet has superior resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temp. and high strength at high temp., it can be used as a material for an exhaust gas treating system for an automobile.
