Title:
POSITIONING SYSTEM OF HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59117761
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain high speed and accurate head positioning even if the turning speed of a recording medium is slow by using a servo pattern of each track and a sector servo pattern. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 20 outputs a required speed pattern signal in response to a set object position and present position of a head 11. The speed is feedback-controlled with an actuator 17 by an error between this signal and a real speed via a timer 19 or the like by the detection of the 1st servo pattern recorded in circumferential direction at each track group such as the ten tracks of a recorder 10 like a disc or the like by a detecting circuit 18 and the head 11 is moved in high speed. Further, the speed of a head 11 is brought to a constant low speed by the 1st pattern detection of the objective track group and even if the turning speed of the device 10 is slow by peak hold circuits 13a- 13d, the sector servo pattern is detected surely and the head 11 is positioned to the object track. Thus, even if the speed of the recording medium is slow, the positioning of the head is attained accurately in high speed.
