PURPOSE: To fix a flat cable after its connecting end is connected by a method wherein two or more insertion and passage holes are made in a sheet material for clamp and rifts are formed in the transverse direction from the insertion and passage holes at both ends inside the insertion and passage holes.

CONSTITUTION: The connecting end of a flat cable 12 is connected to wiring patterns on a printed-circuit board 11 by a soldering operation or the like; after that, a clamp 13 is inserted to the width direction of the flat cable 12 from rifts 16 at insertion and passage holes 15. The clamp 13 is slid to the direction of an arrow; the width direction of the flat cable 12 is pulled into the insertion and passage holes 15; both ends of the width direction are coupled. In addition, the clamp 13 is fixed to the printed-circuit board 11 through fixation holes 17 by using clamping members 18 such as screws or the like; the coupling position of the flat cable 12 to the clamp 13 is adjusted. Thereby, the flat cable 12 is fixed to the printed-circuit board 11 via the clamp 13.
