Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the accumulation of toasted foods.
SOLUTION: A toaster 10 for toasting food such as bread includes an upright housing 12 having a top opening 34 for feeding the food into a toasting cavity 28 and a bottom exit for ejecting the toasted food to the outside of the cavity. A conveyer 30 conveys the food through the cavity. A heater 32 is provided on a side opposite to the conveyer 30 for conveying the food through the cavity. A flexible chute is provided under the bottom opening 36 of the cavity and onto which the food ejected from the cavity drops. The flexible chute directs the toasted food dropped on it away from a lower opening at an angle to the conveying direction within the cavity.
