PURPOSE: To provide a boom retreat type crane device which does not interfere with the cab, cargo deck, load, etc., of a truck when a boom is accommodated, has not the projection part from a car body, does not exert danger to drive or other traffic equipment, has the low height of center of gravity, and possesses the excellent load balance in the longitudinal direction, and the compact structure and high safety.

CONSTITUTION: A crane device which is constituted so that the booms in plural stages are extended and contracted or bendable for the first stage base boom 17-1 is euipped with a boom holder 15 which supports the base boom 17-1 in a slidable manner in the longitudinal direction and supported in a turning-up/ down form for a crane post 14, boom holder turning-up/down device 16 which drive-controls the turning-up/down angle of the boom holder 15 for the crane post 14, and a boom accommodation driving means 19 for shifting the base boom 17-1 in the longitudinal direction of the boom holder 15.
