PURPOSE: To obtain a double-action press die of good workability especially in piercing work etc. of the side face of a formed body by adopting a rhombic link mechanism instead of a cam structure in a press forming die adopted in a double-action press device.

CONSTITUTION: A punch side slide 15 of a press device is connected by a shaft 17 of a rhombic link 14 made by coupling four worker links by four shafts 17W 20, and the shaft 19 is fixed by a die side bearing 16 which is on the same axial line with the working shaft of the slide 15. A slide 23 fixed to a slide 21 connected to the shaft 20 and makes reciprocating stroke movement from side to side in a retainer 22 has a punch working edge 4 and energized by a returning spring 24 in the retainer 22 through a pin 25. The top dead center of the link 14 is set by a stopper 26, and a body to be worked is worked by leftward stroke of the working edge 4 with descent of the slide 15 through the link. Thus, advantages such as obtaining maximum pressure at necessary time near bottom dead point can be obtained.
