Title:
TOILET SEAT APPARATUS WITH OZONE GENERATOR FOR DEODORIZING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3206771
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain higher electric discharge efficiency by a method wherein the electric energization of a heating means is stopped and the discharging of an ozone generator is started when sitting on a toilet seat is detected to suppress increase in electromagnetic noises.
CONSTITUTION: While no man sits on a toilet seat, a chip resistor 53 is energized continuously with a drive circuit so that a dielectric substrate 50 is heated until moisture is dissipated by reserving heat to obtain better discharge efficiency. A man sits on the toilet seat and after the sitting is detected with a sitting sensor is detected. the electric energization of the chip resistor 53 continues to be ON. On the other hand, a driver 5c continues to be OFF and a discharging is performed between electrodes 51a and 51b and a discharge electrode 52 to ozonize oxygen in the air. At the same time, a drive motor 4a is operated and air containing offensive odor in a ball part is sucked into a deodorizing duct 3 with a sweeping fan 4 to ozonize. Thereafter, the air undergoes a deodorizing and scenting treatment passing through a catalyst 6 to be discharged from an exhaust port 3b. There is no generation of electromagnetic noises during the generation of ozone as caused by leads 5d and 5e of the chip resistor 53 thereby minimizing the effect on television.
