To improve comfort by suppressing a damp and sticky feeling when seated, to save energy and to improve the safety.
The toilet seat device includes a body 200 mounted on a toilet bowl 700, a toilet seat 400 incorporating a toilet seat heater 450, and control means 90. The toilet seat 400 is formed by joining an upper toilet seat casing 410, which is formed of metal and has a seated surface 411, to a lower toilet seat casing 420, includes an exterior member 430 covering the seated surface 411, and is formed with projections 431 and recesses 432 on the surface of the exterior member 430. The user's buttocks seated on the toilet seat 400 abuts on the projections 431 and does not abut on at least parts of the recesses 432 so as to reduce the contact area of the seated surface 411 with the buttocks and suppress the damp and sticky feeling when seated, thereby improving the comfort, and so as to reduce the heat transfer from the seated surface 411 to the user's buttocks, thereby saving the energy and improving the safety.
