A toilet seat device includes a body installed on a toilet bowl and incorporating electric functions and a remote controller 400. The remote controller 400 includes illuminance sensors 441 and 442, a control part for detecting an operating action, a sensor detection display lamp 435 for displaying detection information of the illuminance sensors 441 and 442, and a transmission part 436 for transmitting control signals to the body. The control part performs display by the sensor detection display lamp 435 when a reference voltage detected by the illuminance sensors 441 and 442 in a non-detection state is not suited to a prescribed range. Thus, the toilet seat device including the remote controller with high reliability and excellent handleability, which allows a user to recognize propriety of a using environment by performing reporting by the sensor detection display lamp 435 when a toilet room is too dark for the illuminance sensors 441 and 442 to sufficiently detect illuminance change, is provided.
