Abstract:
To provide a toilet seat device allowing for proper detection of a user by an optical sensor.SOLUTION: The toilet seat device installed on a toilet bowl comprises: a body fixed to a top surface of the toilet bowl; a toilet seat supported by the body; and a reflection type optical sensor having a light emission part provided in the toilet seat and emits a light from a surface of the toilet seat and a light reception part capable of receiving reflectance of the light emitted from the light emission part. Therefore, the optical sensor provided in the toilet seat can detect properly a user of the toilet seat device. In addition, the optical sensor is provided not in the body but in the toilet seat, so that necessity for designing a shape of the toilet seat so as to expose the optical sensor, can be eliminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
