Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet that facilitates disposal of urine discharged from a toilet bowl, even when used in an environment having the custom of washing the toilet bowl and the human body after excretion.SOLUTION: A solid-liquid separation unit 40 is provided within a toilet bowl 10. The solid-liquid separation unit 40 separates liquids such as urine and washing water from feces. The feces fall into a compost tank 20. The urine and the washing water are directed toward a connection part 30a via a liquid discharge pipe 31. When an on-off valve 61 is in a closed state, the liquid reaching the connection part 30a flows into a liquid discharge tank 71 via a liquid discharge pipe 32. When the on-off valve 61 is in an opened state, the liquid reaching the connection part 30a flows into a liquid discharge tank 72 via a liquid discharge pipe 33.
