The token washer is provided with a token transfer means 3 for transferring the tokens 1, a washing means 4 for washing the tokens 1 transferred by the token transfer means 3 with a washing solution, a pair of water absorbing rollers 5a and 5b which absorbs the washing solution adhering to the tokens 1 at the washing means 4 grasping the token 1 in the thickness direction, squeezing rollers 5c and 5d for squeezing off the washing solution absorbed in the water absorbing rollers 5a and 5b being pressed respectively with the pair of water absorbing rollers 5a and 5b and cleaning brushes 5m and 5n which are pressed onto the pair of water absorbing rollers 5a and 5b to rake the foreign matters off the surfaces of the water absorbing rollers 5a and 5b.
