Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tone connection system which uses an ATM switch that shares a sound source necessary for classification of sound encoding rule or classification of AAL type and can reduce the the number of sound sources.
SOLUTION: A sound codec 14 and an AAL converter 13 are connected to an ATM switch 11, in response to each signal connection demand from subscriber terminals 16, 18 and 20, the sound codec 14 and the AAL converter 13 are selectively controlled by the ATM switch 11 in accordance with the type kind of these subscriber terminals and the sound encoding rule, and a tone signal from a sound source 12 is converted into the tone signal corresponding to the subscriber terminal and supplied. Thus, the tone sound source 12 can be unified.
