Abstract:

To assign a desired tone in a desired key region with a simple operation, when the tone used in a dual function is set as the tone in a split function, as it is.

When the split function is selected from a dual function, two tones stored to registers TONE1 and TONE2 and used in the dual function time are transferred to registers UPPER and LOWER, and thereby, they are assigned to an upper key region and a lower key region respectively. Then, the upper region and the lower region of a keyboard are indicated, and when the indicated split position is different from the split position stored in a register SPLIT beforehand, the stored split position is changed to the indicated split position. When the indicated split position is the same with the stored position, the tone assigned in the upper key region, which is stored in the register UPPER is exchanged with the tone assigned in the lower key region.
