Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate an opening/closing operation of a shutter member and also to prevent a sealing performance from being damaged by providing projecting parts projecting from the outer circumferential surface of a cylinder while being deviated from the extension line of an opening in its longitudinal direction.
CONSTITUTION: Two projections for an opening operation and two projections for a closing operation 13a1, 13a2, 14a1 and 14a2 are installed on both end parts in the axial direction of a toner cartridge and on opposite position across the extension line of a toner discharge opening 12a. The end part of each flange projection 13a1, 13a2, 14a1 and 14a2 on the side of the toner discharge opening 12a is prepare for a part to be engaged with the shutter member 20 when the closing operation of the shutter member 20 is performed, and also, the maximum working force for opening/ closing the shutter is exerted on the aforesaid end part. Then, the side end of each flange projection 13a1, 13a2, 14a1 and 14a2 on the side of the toner discharge opening 12a is perpendicular to the outer circumferential face tangent of the cylinder, and as for the height of the projections, the projections project from the outer circumferential surface of the toner replenishing container 12 by about 2 to 10mm in height in order to surely engage the projections with the shutter member 20 and open/close the shutter member 20.
