PURPOSE: To remove toner completely even if the quantity of the residual toner is abundant, and also to improve the durability of the titled device, by providing a cleaning sheet having many projections so as to be movable with respect to a recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: A cleaning sheet 3 is pressed against a photosensitive drum 1 by rotary rollers 4a, 4b, rubbed against the surface of the photosensitive drum 1, and the residual toner 6a is scraped down. This cleaning sheet 3 has many linear or lattice-shaped projections for scraping down the residual toner 6a, on the surface. Before abrasion or contamination of the cleaning sheet 3 becomes worse, the cleaning sheet 3 is carried by the rotary rollers 4a, 4b, so that its new part always contacts the surface of the photosensitive drum 1.
