This toner has base particles formed by dispersing a liquid prepared by dissolving or dispersing a material including a binder resin, a coloring agent, and a mold releasing agent in at least an organic solvent in an aqueous medium containing resin particles. The volumetric average particle diameter of the base particle measured by a coulter counter method is 3.0 m or more and 6.0 m or less. The binder resin includes: a first resin having glass transition temperature of 35C or more and 55C or less; and a second resin prepared by applying mechanical shearing force to the resin containing a component insoluble in THF. Mass.% of the second resin to the binder resin is 10% or more and 45% or less.
