To provide a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image which has excellent allowance for environmental conditions and gives a printed material with superior stability in an output image.
A toner for developing an electrostatic charge image contains a resin and a colorant. As the resin, the toner comprises a resin (A) having a structural unit represented by general formula (1) or general formula (2). In general formula (1) and general formula (2), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms; R2 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a halogen atom; n represents an integer of 0 to 2; L1 represents a linkage group or a single bond; L2 represents a linkage group or a single bond; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or a linkage group or a single bond similar to L2.
