Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image less liable to cause filming on a photoreceptor and to contaminate the surface of a toner support such as a sleeve or a carrier without deteriorating low-temp. fixability and excellent in anti-offsetting property and durability.
SOLUTION: This toner contains at least a bonding resin, a colorant and a releasing agent. The THF-soluble component of the toner has at least one peak in the mol.wt. range of 1,000 to <2,000 and at least one peak in the mol.wt. range of 2,000-300,000 in the mol.wt. distribution by GPC and has a wt. average mol.wt. (Mw) of 90,000-2,000,000. Integrated mol.wt. (T) in a mol.wt. range of ≥800, integrated mol.wt. (L) in the mol.wt. range of 2,000-5,000 and integrated mol.wt. (H) in a mol.wt. range of ≥300,000 satisfy the relations of 1≤(L/T)×100≤15 and 3≤(H/T)×100≤30.
