Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a full color image which is stable, whose quality is excellent and whose size is large by transferring it on a sheet for an image having a dielectric surface by using a one-path electrostatic printer.
CONSTITUTION: A photoconductive intermediate receptor 1 is composed of a paper base material 2 provided with a dielectric layer 4 and a release layer 6 on at least one surface. The surface of the receptor 1 is passed through a station in a direction shown by and arrow 8 so that the surface covered with a paper is passed through a needle type writing head 10 first. By the head 10, electric charge 12 is accumulated along the image by leaving an uncharged surface area 14. Besides, the receptor 1 passed through the head 10 is passed through a toner station including a toner applicator 16 brought into contact with a liquid toner bath 18 in a container 20. Then, liquid toner 22 is carried by the applicator 16 and accumulated along the image on the receptor 1 so as to form an area with toner 24 and a toner free area 26. Besides, it is passed through a vacuum squeegee 28 and the excessive toner is eliminated. In the end, it is dried by wind from a vacuum dryer.
