To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner excellent in stability of electrification with environment and time and to provide a method for manufacturing the toner, a developer and a method for forming an image of high picture quality.
In the method for manufacturing the toner for development of an electrostatic charge image by mixing a resin fine particle dispersion liquid and a coloring agent dispersion liquid prepared by emulsion polymerization to obtain a dispersion liquid of aggregated particles, heating the obtained liquid to a temperature higher than the glass transition temperature of the resin fine particles to fuse the aggregated particles to form toner particles and cleaning the particles, an alicyclic compound having at least an acid group which is coupled with a metal to form a salt and having ≤1 g/100 g H2O solubility in water at 25°C is added in the emulsion polymerization process, and then emulsification, aggregation, fusing and cleaning are carried out. The developer and the method for forming an image have also provided.
