Abstract:

To provide a toner excellent in fixing property, a new excellent method for manufacturing the toner, and an image forming method, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge in which the toner can be suitably used.

The method for manufacturing a toner for electrostatic charge latent image development is characterized in that an oil phase containing at least a colorant, a modified polyester (X) having an isocyanate group, and an unmodified polyester (Y) having no isocyanate group and having an acid value of at least 15 mg/KOH is granulated in an aqueous medium containing a surfactant and having the pH of 9 or higher into toner particles containing a modified polyester (Z) having at least a urea group and the unmodified polyester (Y).
