To provide toner forming a superior image, free from problems such as fog, density decrease, image unevenness, filming, and contamination of members even in long term use and use at a high temperature and high humidity environment, and having excellent transfer efficiency, low temperature fixability, and offset resistance.
This toner comprises a binder resin, a wax component, a magnetic substance, and inorganic fine powder. The toner has a number average particle diameter D1 of 3.0-9.0 m. In a micro compression test to the toner, when setting a particle diameter of the measured toner as D; the maximum displacement amount in applying a load of 9.810-4 N at a load of 9.810-5 N/sec velocity to one particle of the toner as X100; and a displacement amount in applying a load of 2.010-4 N as X20, the toner satisfies: D1+0.20DD1-0.20; 0.15X100/D0.90; and 0.005X20/D0.070. The toner has magnetization intensity of 5.0-35.0 Am2/kg in a magnetic field of 795.8 kA/m.
