To provide a magenta toner with which an image having reduced graininess and roughness from a low density region to a high density region and ensuring a sufficient fixing temperature region can be formed, and a vivid image having a color reproduction range wider than a conventional one and high transparency in an OHP sheet can be formed.
In the magenta toner containing at least a binder resin, a coloring agent and wax, the toner has one or a plurality of endothermic peaks in the temperature range from 30 to 200°C in the endothermic curve measured by differential calorimetry, with the maximum endothermic peak in the endothermic peaks ranging from 65 to 105°C. Further, the magenta toner having 45 to 80% reflectance at 500 nm wavelength and 5 to 30% reflectance at 600 nm wavelength measured by spectroscopic analysis of the toner in a powder state and having 45 to 75 lightness L* is used as a pale magenta toner, and is used together with a deep magenta toner to form a full-color image.
