Title:
TONER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3927815
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toners which do not give rise to image streaks and image fogging and can obtain high-grade images even in long-term use in both environments of the high-temperature and high-humidity environmental conditions and low-temperature and low-humidity environmental conditions.
SOLUTION: The nonmagnetic one-component toners are characterized in that a toner layer regulating member on a toner carrying member has a resin layer having resistance above 1.00×104Ω.cm; the thickness of the resin layer is ≥5 and ≤50 μm; the toners contain a polyester compound at ≥50 mass% in a binder resin component; the compound has a main peak between 1.00×103 and 3.00×104 and has a toluene insoluble component at ≥1 and <70 mass%; the moisture content under the low temperature and low humidity of the toners is 100 to 5,000 ppm; and the toner particles of the grain size exceeding 16 μm are below 5 vol.%.
