To provide a polymer toner prevented from occurrence of image defects such as fog, black spots or the like even in the case of being used for image formation for a long period and to provide its manufacturing method.
This toner is obtained by salting out at least fine colorant particles and fine resin particles and fused to each other. The fine colorant particles are dispersed into an aqueous medium containing a surfactant by a stirring device provided with a screen and a rotor rotating at high speed and having a weight average particle diameter of 30-300 nm. The toner manufacturing method has the processes for dispersing the above fine colorant particles and the fine particles of these colorant and the binder resin, and for salting out and melt attaching them.
