Title:
TONER MANUFACTURED BY POLYMERIZATION, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE TONER BY POLYMERIZATION AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3965904
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner manufactured by polymerization which is free from generation of offensive odor when thermally fixed and is also free from occurrence of fogging and deterioration of image density or the like in image forming process over a long period and which is capable of obtaining a clear image even when the particle size is small, provide a method of manufacturing the toner by polymerization, and also provide an image forming method using the toner manufactured by polymerization.
SOLUTION: The toner manufactured by polymerization comprises a coloring agent and a resin formed by polymerization of radically polymerizable monomers containing a chain transfer agent, in an aqueous solution, and has a volume-average particle diameter of 3-8 μm. The radically polymerizable monomer is ≤200 ppm and the chain transfer agent is ≤50 ppm.
