Abstract:
To provide a toner which does not soil a fixing member of a fixing device in which a release agent such as oil is not applied on the fixing member even when the toner is used for a long time.
In the toner having inorganic fine particles on the surface of toner particles containing at least a binder resin and wax, the inorganic fine particles are hydrophobic inorganic fine particles having ≥75% half value of wettability for methanol. The binder resin shows ≥93° contact angle to the substance the surface of which gives ≥105° contact angle with water. The wax is a hydrocarbon wax having 22 to 100 mPa.s kinetic viscosity measured by an E-type viscometer at 150°C.
