Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the toner grain having a satisfactory conductive coating in a short time from a material high in electric conductivity and having good fluidity and to reduce the contamination of the device using toner powder by lowering the consumption of tin oxide powder.

CONSTITUTION: This toner powder contains a toner grain carrying the fine grain of the conductive material consisting of fluorine-doped tin oxide on the surface and/or on the edge band in close proximity to the surface. The fluorine- doped tin oxide grain has <0.2μm primary grain size and 50Ω.m resistivity at the highest. The fluorine content of the tin oxide is controlled to <10wt.%, preferably 1-5wt.%.
