Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing toner with high productivity, which is excellent in filming resistance during consecutive printing and obtains an image excellent in glossiness and light transmission.
SOLUTION: The toner production method comprises a step of melting and kneading a composition which contains a binding resin, a coloring agent, and wax, by the use of a kneading machine, a step of cooling the obtained mixture to the fusing point of the wax or below within ten seconds after the mixture is discharged out of the kneading machine, and a step of further cooling the mixture at a temperature of Tg+5°C to Tg-5°C (wherein Tg represents the glass transition point of the binding resin) at a cooling speed of 1.5°C/sec or lower.
