PURPOSE: To improve the operability and reduce the man-hour of a copying machine when a toner recovering container is mounted, by shielding the opening of a shielding member by utilizing the setting operation of the toner recovering container.

CONSTITUTION: A waste toner container is set by rotating the container in the direction C under a condition when the container is pressed against a waste toner pressing plate 2 and molt plane 3 and pushing the container into the molt plane 3 so that the waste toner container can cross over the bent section (a) of a back plate 8. In this case, part of a molt plane 4 is pushed into the waste toner container and part of the inlet 9 of the container is blocked, but the toner pressing plate 3 is a little raised by the repulsing force of the molt plane 4. When a cover 7 is moved in the direction D thereafter, the cover 7 pushes the waste toner keeping plate 3 until the plate 3 becomes parallel with the waste toner container 6 and is fixed by a magnet 9. Therefore, the inlet 9 of the waste toner container 6 can be blocked by the waste toner keeping plate 3 when this waste toner box is settled.
