Title:
TONER, TWO-COMPONENT DEVELOPER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3684074
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a toner due to use over a long period of time, the surface deterioration of a toner carrier, the surface deterioration and abrasion of an image carrier and the sticking of the toner particularly to the surface of a photoreceptor and to obtain a toner which attains the prevention.
SOLUTION: The toner has at least toner particles and an external additive. In the circularity distribution of the particles of the toner measured with a flow type particle image analyzer, the toner has an average circularity of 0.920-0.995 and contains 2-40% by number of particles whose circularity is <0.950. The wt. average particle diameter of the toner measured by the Coulter method is 2.0-9.0 μm. The external additive has at least inorg. fine powder (A) which exists on the toner particles in the state of primary or secondary particles and has 10-400 μm average major axis size and a shape factor SF-1 of 100-130 and nonspherical inorg. fine powder (B) having a shape factory SF-1 of >150 formed by aggregating plural particles.
