Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner that has excellent low-temperature fixability, provides sufficient image density with a small amount, and prevents an adverse effect on images including fogging under a high-temperature and high-humidity environment even for a long-term use.SOLUTION: There is provided a toner including toner particles containing a binder resin, pigment, pigment dispersant, and crystalline polyester, where the binder resin is an amorphous polyester resin, and the pigment dispersant satisfies the following (i) to (iv): (i) the difference between an SP value of the pigment dispersant (A) and an SP value of the crystalline polyester resin (B)(A-B) is -0.90 or more and +1.00 or less; (ii) the difference between the SP value of the pigment dispersant (A) and an SP value of the binder resin (C)(A-C) is -2.00 or more and +2.00 or less; (iii) the pigment dispersant includes a polymer component and an absorption component having an absorption ratio to the pigment of 30% or more, and the polymer component has a partial structure represented by a vinyl-based polymer; and (iv) a number average molecular weight (Mn) of the polymer component in the pigment dispersant is 3000 to 20000.
