To provide a tongue and seat belt device which can prevent or suppress movement of a webbing holding member when a webbing is fitted, while ensuring that the webbing holding member is moved easily with the webbing fitted.
A restriction projection 136 is formed on a leg plate 126 of a cover 122. When the leg plate 126 is pressed and elastically deformed to hold the tongue and draw out the webbing, the restriction projection 136 enters from an axial end of a slider 82 to an inner side of the slider 82. In this state where the restriction projection 136 enters to the inner side of the slider 82, the restriction projection 136 opposes on a lateral wall side relative to a portion on a side of a hooking around part 84 on an inner face of the slider 82 and interferes with the inner face of the slider 82. Thus, sliding of the slider 82 is restricted. The webbing is smoothly drawn out and an insertion part of the tongue is inserted to a buckle, so as to fit the webbing to a body.
