Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled composition having no smell of l-menthol not only in a state of product but also during and after using of it, showing refreshing feeling on the skin after it use, containing l-menthol and lavender oil in a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: A tonic composition containing (A) 0.3W3wt%, preferably 0.3W 1wt% l-menthol and lavender oil (especially one containing ≥40wt% linalyl acetate) in a weight ratio of the component A to the component B of 1/3W2/1. In the case of tonic shampoo composition, the tonic composition is blended with 5W30wt% anionic surface active agent (e.g., alkali metal laurate) and/or ampholytic surface active agent (e.g., lauryl β-iminopropionate), and in the case of hair rinse, the tonic composition is blended with 0.1W2wt% cationic surface active agent (e.g., long-chain monoalkyl quaternary ammonium salt).
