The tool for turn/turn broaching or external milling of a workpiece is disclosed. The tool includes a disk-shaped broaching wheel (2) or at least one segment (1) of such a broach wheel (2). At least one cutting-tip holding fixtures (8, 10) for a cutting tip is provided on the end faces (6, 7) of the broaching wheel (2) or the segment (1) in a region where the cutting-tip holding fixture is adjacent to the circumferential surface (3) of the broaching wheel (2) or the segment (1). On at least one of the end face (6) of the two end faces, the cutting-tip holding fixture (8) is formed in a cartridge (11) which is axially adjustable with respect to the broaching wheel (2) or segment (1) by using an axial clamping wedge (13). In this case, the cartridge (11) is designed in such a way that it at least partially covers the axial clamping wedge (13) in a direction toward the circumferential surface (3).
