Title:
TOOL CHANGE DEVICE IN MACHINE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3150753
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the time until a tool change is completed, by providing a control means which monitors whether the output of the completion of clamp/ unclamp operation is issued or not in a specific time from the time starting the clamp/unclamp operation, and reduces the speed of a motor when such an output is not issued.
CONSTITUTION: When a selector valve is driven and the clamping or the unclamping of a tool is completed by a tool clamp mechanism in a main spindle, the completion of such an operation is detected by detecting circuits 49 and 51. In a controller 45, it is monitored whether the detecting output of the operation of a tool clamping or unclamping is issued or not, in a specific time from the time the selector valve is controlled to convert, and when such an output is not issued, the driving speed of a motor M is reduced. And the motor M is accelerated to restore the original speed when the output to detect the completion of the clamping or the unclamping is issued.
