Abstract:
To stably drill a workpiece while preventing clogging of cutting chips to a drill and the breakage of the drill.SOLUTION: A tool drive device has a drill chuck that holds a drill, a motor that rotates the drill chuck, a housing that stores the motor, and a vibration mechanism that periodically reciprocates the drill chuck in a tool axial direction with respect to the housing during rotations of the drill chuck, and separates the drill chuck from the housing at a velocity smaller than a velocity at which the drill chuck is put closer to the housing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
