This invention is provided with a turret head 17 to be driven for rotation by an AC servo motor 4a, various kinds of sockets 24, 25, 26 arranged in the turret head 17 freely to be rotated, a transmission destination changing means for changeover between the structure for transmitting the drive of the motor 4a to the turret head 17 and the structure for transmitting the drive of the motor 4a to the sockets, a torque detecting means 4c for detecting the load torque to be applied to the turret head or the sockets, and a control means for comparing the load torque when the turret head is rotated with a preset allowable value.
