PURPOSE: To conduct surely the grinding of a cutting edge by means of a grinder by feeding a cutting tool while it is being guided along the angle of its edge tip without using a tooth rest and also realize use not only for the re-grinding of a cutting tool but also for new manufacture.

CONSTITUTION: The device possesses a boxlike body 1 and is equipped with a spindle portion 4 arranged movably to both side surfaces of the body 1 through bearings 3a, 3b; a chuck 5 that is fitted to the tip portion of the spindle portion 4 and fixes in retention a cutting tool attachably/detachably; and a dividing portion 7 arranged at the rear end portion of the spindle portion 4. Also, it is equipped with a roller 9 that is arranged through a roller rotation bearing 10 assembled rotatably into the body 1 and is brought into contact pressingly with the top of the spindle portion 4; a roller turntable 15 that is arranged rotatably on the upper surface of the body 1 and conducts the rotary operation of the roller rotation bearing 10 and sets the direction of the roller 9.
