To solve the problem that a short distance between hanger arms makes long pieces of laundry overlap each other and thereby causes drying time to increase when parasol hangers are vertically connected.

The tool for hanging laundry for drying has a hollow hanging rod having a hanging hook on the upper end and a plurality of hanger arms journaled openably from the vertical direction to the horizontal direction in the lower portion of the hanging rod, and is provided with a ringlike or hooklike engagement portion which allows the hanging hook of another tool to be hooked on the lower end of the hanging rod. An extension rod which can be pulled out downward from the lower end of the hanging rod and fixed to a prescribed position is provided in the interior of the hanging rod and the lower end of the extension rod is provided with the engagement portion.
