Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the tool having a large and irregularly shaped diamond abrasive layer by brazing a diamond sheet produced with chemical vapor deposition method to a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A diamond sheet (0.1-1 mm thickness, about ≥50 mm longest dimension) produced by chemical vapor deposition method is brazed on a substrate of sintered carbide alloy, etc., by using an alloy containing a carbide forming element (for example: Cr, Ti, etc.).
