This tool holder comprises the shank part 11 mounted on a machine tool and the chuck part 15 for grabbing a tool 40 in a shrinkage fit method. The shank part 11 and the chuck part 15 are separated from each other, and have different material, and preferably the chuck part is made of a material having higher coefficient of thermal expansion than that of the shank part.
