Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder with improved machining accuracy.SOLUTION: A tool holder 10 is provided with a holding part 20, and a cutting part 21. The holding part 20 is held on a spindle 12 of the machine tool 11. The cutting part 21 is integrally arranged with the holding part 20, has an asymmetric shape with respect to a rotation axis AX, and is mounted on a cutting tool 13. A bulk density on one side 35 of the cutting part 21 is smaller than a bulk density on the other side 36. Thus, when a center of gravity G comes close to the rotation axis AX, dynamic balance of the tool holder 10 is corrected to reduce unbalance. Therefore, vibration of the tool holder 10 is suppressed when the tool holder 10 with the cutting tool 13 rotates around the rotation axis AX. As a result, deterioration of the machining accuracy caused by the vibration can be suppressed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
