Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure long service life even when a high deformation resistant material is made into a tube.
CONSTITUTION: In an oxidized scale type tool for hot tube making which is used after forming the oxidized scale on the surface of a base body made of steel, the base body made of steel adopts a forged material or a rolled stock. As the material of the base body made of steel, the material having a compsn. essentially contg., by weight, 0.08-0.65% C, 0.1-2.0% Si, 0.2-3.0% Mn, 0.2-7.0% Ni, 0.005-0.5% sol. Al and 1.5-8.0%, in total of ≥1 kinds of Mo and W is desirably used. As forging or rolling conditions, the heating temp. of 1000-1250°C and the elongation ratio of ≥1.35 are desirable.
