To easily and accurately perform, at the site of using a crusher, an operation of drilling an installation hole for attaching a dustproof member to the mantle core of a gyratory crusher.
A tool 1 for machining the installation hole having an engaging face 1a that engages with a cylindrical face 14b formed concentrically with the axial center on the lower face of a mantle core 14 is used. The machining tool 1 has three through-holes 2a, 2b, 3 drilled on a base face 1b that comes into contact with the lower face of the outer peripheral edge 14c of the mantle core 14, wherein the two through holes 2a, 2b for machining a bolt hole are arranged so as to be positioned on an imaginary circle A that is concentric with the axial center of the mantle core 14. A process of setting the machining tool 1 on the mantle core 14 and drilling the bolt hole 6 and a process of shifting the machining tool 1 in the circumferential direction of the mantle core 14 and fixing it by using the preliminarily drilled bolt hole 6, are successively repeated. Then, in an arbitrary drilling process during the time, a pin hole 9 is drilled from the through-hole 3 for machining a pin hole.
