Abstract:
PURPOSE: To numerically and objectively judge the air vent effect of a plug-up type cap by detecting the pressure of air transmitted from the upper part of the rigid cylindrical side wall of the cap having the same shape as the mouth section of a container through a pressure transmitting passage formed through the inside of the side wall.
CONSTITUTION: A measuring tool is constituted of a ring-shaped base 30 and a cylindrical side wall 31 integrally formed with the base 30. The upper part is formed into the same shape as that of the mouth section of such a container as the bottle, etc., because a cap is actually put on the part. In addition, a pressure transmitting passage 32 having a small diameter (usually, about 0.3-0.7mm) is formed through the wall 31 from the top to the base 30 and lower end of the passage 32 is communicated with the inserting port 40 of a pressure converter 40 mounted on the base 30. Therefore, when the main body 1 is put on the upper end section of the wall 31, the pressure of air flowing through the passage 32 can be detected through the film of the converter 40 and displayed on a digital display 41 after the pressure is converted into an electric signal.
