Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent chips from gathering and sticking to a periphery of a tool or a workpiece by arranging plural opening annular cover plates through which a foreign matter and the chips can pass in a deep rolling process.
SOLUTION: An annular opening 14 is closed by an annular cover plate 18 fixed to a housing 12 by screw fixing members 16. Discontinuous concentric circular first plural openings 24 positioned outward in a radial shape from the center of the cover plate 18, are formed in the cover plate 18. In addition to this, discontinuous concentric circular second plural openings positioned outward in a radial shape from the center of this side part, are also arranged in the side part of a housing 12 opposed to the annular openings 24. The first plural openings 24 and the second plural openings are arranged in adjustable positions.
