Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool and a method for forming a recessed part to easily form a recessed part of a desired depth without breaking any structure of a work or a recessed part forming tool even when small recessed parts are formed at high speed in the surface of the work.
SOLUTION: The recessed part forming tool comprises a presser 1 to be pressed into a work, a piezoelectric element 2 to press the presser against the work, an annular elastic member 3 which is interposed between the presser 1 and the piezoelectric element 2 and provided with an elastic expandable shaft concentric with a pressing shaft P of the piezoelectric element 2, and a control device 7. The control device 7 measures the pressing depth of the presser 1 into the work W from the information on the strain of a strain sensor 4 attached to the annular elastic member 3, and a recessed part forming tool is used to control the pressing length of the piezoelectric element 2 so that a recessed part of the target depth is formed in the work corresponding to this pressing depth.
